Cody's 30th in Vegas!

Cody just turned 30 on the 19th and on your 30th Birthday you should really do something great!
So I decided to take him on a trip to Las Vegas! We are not big gamblers, but Vegas still has a lot to offer to the non-gamblers.

We stayed at the new Wynn property called "Encore" Steve Wynn has an amazing hotel called "Wynn" with a fabulous golf course!

Last time we went to Vegas we stayed at the Wynn and this time we thought we would try the Encore. It just opened in January and it is Gorgeous. The architect and designers of these two hotels blow me away, everything is perfect down to every detail. The way they use colors, textures, and arrange everything is just unbelievable. They bring the out door elements in. You feel like you are in a garden the whole time and it is just Beautiful. We got in on Thursday evening and had a great dinner at one of the hotels restaurants called Botero, they also have a really neat restaurant called "Switch" and every 20 minutes the walls, lighting and decor all "Switch" to something different, it is really a neat concept and experience.

On Friday we played golf. This is an excellent course and Cody wanted to play last time we were there, but it is some what difficult to get a T-time, so we planned ahead on this trip to insure he would get to play.
Steve Wynn has been thinking about doing away with the golf course and expanding the hotel. Our Caddy was giving us the scoop on the possible up coming plans. The property alone for this course is worth 250 million per acre. Sounds like Mr. Wynn invested pretty well huh?

We saw a few shows while we were there. We love Sirque Du Soleil and we caught
"LOVE" The Beatles show. it was way to cool, and if you are a Beatles fan like myself you will really enjoy it! I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time and Cody had a great and memorable 30th Birthday!

Here are a few pictures of the golf course
and hotel

The Wynn is on the left side and the Encore is on the right
they connect to each other by the Esplanade
Talk about some shopping there!

Pennsylvania -Vs- Texas

Cody and I have always said that one of our favorite things about Texas is the sky. You can see miles of it and every time it rises or sets...it Beautiful!

We have had a few pretty Sunrises and Sunsets here in Pennsylvania, but it's nothing like Texas...they just make you miss Texas even more!

Winter will soon be on it's way, we have had lots of snow the last few month and we have really enjoyed it's beauty and fun, but I'm ready for Spring!
This picture was taken from our house looking down the street, as you can see we have had some snow today.

Dominican Republic

Our Vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
We usually have all kinds of fun things planned for our vacations, but this one was all about the Relaxation. We did manage to get in a round of golf and a helicopter tour of the island.
Here are a few pictures...

Nothing but the sound of the waves crashing

We had a day or two that it rained,
but that did not stop us from enjoying the beach!

Cody and I both grabbed a good book and found these hammocks
I think we spent a whole day here!

Beach, Drinks and Yahtzee...what more could you ask for?

Horseback ridding on the ocean side, there was one part
where we got to ride them in the ocean, it was amazing, they are so
Beautiful, I wish I had pictures of that, but I was to busy enjoying myself!

How cute is he?
